SYMMETRICS INTERNATIONAL was founded in 1997 by Deborah Pankhurst, President . Deborah collaborates with a number of highly experienced consultants who assist her when additional resources are needed on a project.
Deborah Pankhurst, President
Deborah has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business planning, including 15 years experience in facilitation, strategic planning, training, market research and executive coaching. She has worked for a variety of industries internationally, including packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, gaming and non-profits. Her clients have been based in Canada , the U.S. , Europe and Asia . She is known especially for her ability to innovate and bring insight to difficult problems.
Prior to founding SYMMETRICS in 1997, Deborah worked as a Senior Marketer for Unilever and Tambrands over a period of seven years. It was here that she developed the foundation of her skills in Marketing Management. She then joined Tandem International, a management consulting firm specializing in Strategic Planning, and became a Partner. Her work included planning, training and market research assignments with clients in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. |

Deborah is a member of The Strategy Consortium and the Strategic Leadership Forum. In addition to her consulting projects, she sits on the Board of Directors of the Humber River Regional Hospital, one of the largest acute care hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area where she contributes to the Governance Committee and Quality Committee. She is a mentor and member of a Research Evaluation Task Force for a mental health initiative, "Spark of Brilliance" and for three years sat on the Board of Governors of an independent school where she was Secretary and chaired the Strategic Planning committee. She is also a long time volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Deborah has an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from Carleton University.
